This is just such a magnificent catch that it has to be the “Pic of the day” … if not the year.
The anglers name is John Crabb it weighed 82kg, this outstanding fish measured 197cm with a 116cm girth

Here in South Africa we call it a Kob or Daga Salmon, what do you call this species where you come from ?
Awesome Fish, he caught it on Chokka (squid) whilst fishing for Ragies (Ragged Tooth Shark)

I see, it is a local name for what we would call a drum. Argyrosomus holoepidotus.

In Australia we call them Mulloway or Jewfish.

When I lived in SA I always caught the kids and sent them back with a message for the aunty’s and uncles like this to swim by my well presented chaka with a tasty makrell fillet sandwiched between.
Never had the pleasure of wrestling with one like this.Well done.
