The 80 pound carbon coated wire that I usually use for my traces is really frustrating me, as I have to make new traces every time I fish. So I decided to use 200lb for my sliding trace and see if a fish will take it.
I normally only use Diiachi hooks but, feeling the money pinch, I decided to try the new Bandits. R9 for three, compared to R40 for four Diiachi’s.
I had to put the Sealine sticker in. For those that don’t know – Sealine is a Angling Forum and Community in South Africa. You can read my reports HERE
Another great angling community, is onĀ Reddit
The conditions that day were really poor, so no Fish unfortunately.
As you can see the trace has no kinks or twists in it, so I can use it again – So Mission Accomplished.
After spending most of my life behind a computer, I now try and ride my bike as much as possible. It is alot of fun and I feel like a kid again. Less impact on the the environment as well. Kitting up with a heavy bag and all my tackle reminds me of Army Route Marches…. EISH !!

The old Army bag that I use to carry my tackle. Believe me, it makes me feel like I am back inthe Army. HEAVY !!
It’s hard to have a bad evening out on the bay. There is something about fishing with my friends that without a doubt makes me smile. Thanks for the informative content.
Great fishing trace, 200lb carbon coated steel trace….. tough enough for almost anything.
